CutCardStock Day

I have to say, I am thoroughly enjoying sharing the fabulous colors CCS has in their store!  I think today's is one of my top favorites!

I started with a mini slimline card base [yes, I still love this size!] made with the Blue Calico card stock.  I went on to cut the butterflies out with Seafoam Green, Hummingbird Teal [stunning! yes please!], and Amazon Dark Teal card stocks.

Finally, a little touch of Black card stock for the embossed sentiment.  Oh, and, I almost forgot the circles of 130# Bright White card stock.  The thickness added a little depth too.  That is a win!

I hope you liked my card for today.  I know I do 😀

Addicted to CAS Challenge #287 - Stencil

Haven't stencils progressed over the last few years?!  That said, I used the old school technique - simple inking.

I used a center stenciled focal panel - I love this look.  Adding on a couple of die cut images, this card was pretty easy to make.

I added a little sentiment, and it's done.  Yep, I am happy with this :)

Your turn. You have the next two weeks to upload your CAS stenciled card over at ATCAS #278.  I'm looking forward to the gallery this challenge~

Just Us Girls Challenge #765 - Die Week

Well, this is an easy challenge! [I like those.]  Just a reminder, this week's challenge has an additional step - a birthday card.  This challenge is not anything goes.

I went a searching and pulled out some [really] old Papertrey stamp sets and dies.  I also pulled out my Avery Elle HB die.  [I love the attached letters with this die!]

I wanted to try a stamped background, and I succeeded a little bit.  However, the colors I chose with the center and the bfly so did not work.  I re-stamped both images - die cut them out - and covered up what just didn't fly.  Since this is die week - that worked perfectly!

Blend inking up the HB, and adding black splatter finished off my card.  This sure is a different color combo for me.  I'm still on the fence...

Okay, your turn!  Come on over to JUGS #765 Challenge and play along.  Just remember to use a die, and it must be a birthday card this week too.

The Male Room Challenge #196 - Mixed Media

I really enjoy creating mixed media projects.  While I don't like doing it all the time, I do love a challenge requiring it.

This one was very easy to create! I went into my self- made paper container, grabbed a few sheets, and glued down onto a panel.  Pretty much done.  I added some splatters [added interest], along with a sentiment strip and yep, it's done.  This my Followers was a 10 minute card.

I totally love the end result!

Your turn.  There are so many ways of creating a mixed media card! You can upload your card HERE. I am looking forward to the gallery~
